Healthcare, medical services discussed

Manama, Dec. 31 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh has received Bahrain "Sickler" Patients Society chairman Zakaria Al Kazhim in the presence of consultants Dr. Jamila Al-Salman and Dr. Jaffar Al Touq, and the society's secretary-general Sadiq Yousef Samir. They discussed the cooperation between the ministry and the society as well as enhancement of health and treatment services provided by the ministry to sickle-cell anemia patients. Based on the directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the ministry is providing full healthcare to "sickler" patients and boosting the fruitful cooperation with the society in the interest of patients, she added. In compliance with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the ministry has always been keen on the implementation of its comprehensive strategic action plan. Also, through the effective partnership with the community the ministry is boosting the healthcare and medical services to "sickler" patients in the Kingdom, Al Saleh said. The ministry also endeavors to double the efforts and dedicate all available potentials in order to provide the best quality healthcare services and maximum care for sickle-cell anemia patients to alleviate their suffering, she added. The minister expressed her gratitude and appreciation of the society’s role in supporting and helping sickle-cell anemia patients, wishing the society success in combining the efforts in the interest of serving all patients. They also discussed the topics pertaining to improvement of health services provided to the "sickler" patients, asserting the importance of maintaining the key role and effective partnership as well as dedication of all energies, expertise and capabilities in support of patients in the Bahraini community.
