Ministry of Commerce and Industry Launches New Website

Doha, January 06 (QNA) - HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari launched on Sunday the new ministry website and 49 new electronic services increasing the number of services provided to the public 133. The new website launch reflects the ministry's strategic objectives and its keenness to achieve more effective communication with investors, consumers and the public through the provision of many electronic services that keep up with modern technology, saving time and effort for users. The website is bright with colors and clear pictures, and is easier to browse for the services provided by the ministry, all in compliance with modern designs of global websites. The website also complies with the ministry's vision in turning into a digital system when dealing with the public and supporting them to complete all their required transactions. The new version has 133 electronic services that cover different departments of the ministry. Some of these services are renewing commercial register, issuing negative certificate, licensing, modifying and canceling either discounts, clearances or offers, licensing the management and operation of a new bakery, registering commercial agent, publishing general meetings' reports, patent requests, trade/social mark registration and other electronic services. The website allows the user to read about ministry news through a comprehensive media center, receive updates on commerce and industry statistics and to read about the latest initiatives and recalls.
