Youth welcome to Thai military sites on Children's Day

BANGKOK, January 8 (TNA) - As previous years, the Royal Thai Armed Forces will open their military sites to welcome youths on the Children's Day 2019, which falls on January 12. The Royal Thai Armed Forces have announced that children are welcome at the Royal Thai Armed Forces' Headquarters on the outskirts of Bangkok to enjoy many activities to be specially organized for them on the upcoming Children's Day under the theme of "Edutainment", during 8am-2pm. The activities include four learning zones, comprising of those on Royal Projects of late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, on military honors, on the harmony miracle and on talented children. Besides, visiting youths are welcome to closely look and learn on a number of military armaments on display, namely different models of military tanks, trucks and armored cars. Other activities include a military procession, military performances with music, as well as gifts, food and refreshment drinks that will be given for free for visiting youths. Meanwhile, the Royal Thai Air Force has also announced the opening of its sites nationwide to welcome youths on the upcoming Children's Day. Air Marshal Pongsak Semachai, Chief of the Directorate of Civil Affairs, in his capacity as the Royal Thai Air Force Spokesman, on Tuesday publicly invited children and youths to enjoy activities to be organized at the Royal Thai Air Force's sites in Bangkok and provincial areas during 7am-3:30pm. In Bangkok, the spokesman said that the Royal Thai Air Force's activities on the upcoming Children's Day will be held on the aircraft parking area, the Museum Thailand, the Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium and the Office of Don Mueang RTAF Base Commander, all of which are located at its Don Mueang Air Force Base, as well as at its nearby Small Airport Thung Si Kan. According to the spokesman, the activities include air shows of many aircraft models, namely those of AU-23 A attack plane, F-16, F-5 and Gripen fighter planes, PC-9 and CT-4E fleets, along with a fancy drill, a drum zeed show and exhibitions on the Royal Thai Air Force's history and armaments.
