GDCD teams implement joint exercise

Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): The General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) has implemented a joint exercise for high-rise buildings in Juffair. The exercise was aimed to ensure the prompt response of the civil defence teams and the readiness of the safety and security personnel of some residential buildings. It was also held to assess the weaknesses and strengths in firefighting and rescue operations. The exercise was held in association with various directorates of the Interior Ministry. The scenario started when the civil defence operations room and the main operations room received the case. Then the security personnel dealt with the incident until the arrival of the civil defence teams to carry the evacuation and firefighting. In the end, the Director General of the Civil Defence expressed thanks and appreciation to all the participants.
