Charity festival held in Sakhir

Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): Under the patronage of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, the Mazad Al-Bahrain (Bahrain Auction) Charity Festival (Souq Al-Barari) was held at the Sakhir region, in the presence of Undersecretary, Sabah Salim Al-Dossari, and a number of dignitaries and local organisations interested in Bahrain’s heritage. The festival, whose proceeds will be allocated to charity work, featured exhbitions of heritage items, productive families’ products and folklore shows. The undersecretary lauded the idea of the festival, which is held at the Sakhir region, thus coinciding with the camping season. In this regard, he commended the efforts exerted by Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, to support the camping season and provide facilities to hold events and festivals on its sidelines.
