NCC holds meeting to discuss communication priorities

Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): The National Communication Centre (NCC) today held the regular meeting of the Government Communication Network at the Information Affairs Ministry’s complex, in the presence of 31 representatives of 25 government entities.
The meeting discussed the government’s communication plan for next month, as well as NCC’s role in coordinating and determining the communication priorities, in accordance with a work mechanism that that is consistent with the goals of unifying the government’s media discourse through an effective and constructive communication system by activating partnership with all government entities.
The participants praised NCC’s support for government institutions, which, they said, has contributed to enhancing concerted efforts to achieve public interests in constantly keeping up with the government’s achievements and supporting communication in various fields.
They also reviewed the main events, programmes and activities of ministries and government entities during the coming months.
They highlighted NCC’s support for the Education Ministry-backed awards, namely the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education, the Distinguished Educator Award and the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best GCC Teacher.
They also discussed NCC’s communication plans regarding the “Binayat” system, inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, during the Government Forum 2018.
The “Binayat”m syste, representing a quantum leap in the field of building permit issuance, aims to serve the comprehensive development march, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
NCC has prepared and developed a communication plan to support the participation of the National Committee on the Rights of the Child in the UN meetings, set to be held in Geneva from January 18 to 21.
Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, will lead the kingdom’s delegation to the UN meetings.
NCC renewed its commitment to undertaking its national role by providing support to government institutions and enhancing coordination of joint efforts between all ministries and government entities.
It also stressed its unwavering efforts to strengthen the government communication system effectively, sustainably and strategically to build more bridges of communication among government entities to enhance the confidence of the citizens, ensure everyone’s support for national interests, achieve further progress in the field of national communication, and highlight the various government initiatives, the achievements of the Kingdom, as well as its success stories, development and progress under HM the King’s leadership.
NCC was established in 2016 with the aim of unifying the government media discourse in accordance with a clear methodology of action that would lay the foundations for the governmental media discourse with its plans and programmes in order to institutionalise it and make it available to those concerned,
NCC aims to achieve excellence in communication through all government entities and highlight the priorities of the government through channels of communication.
