Bahrain's Speaker praises executive-legislature cooperation

Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded the positive Executive-Legislature cooperation which enjoys the great interest of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. The cooperation between the two branches is based on mutual trust and respect, as well as national reponsibility of the two sides to consolidate the democratic process in order to attain more achievements for Bahrain and its people. This came as she met here today the Deputy Premier and Chairman of the government’s delegation to the committee in charge of studying the Government Action Plan 2019-2022, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, along with Parliament Affairs Minister, Ghanim bin Fadhul Al-Buainain. The speaker affirmed her confidence in the government’s positive response to all the issues raised by MPs regarding topics related to the citizens’ needs and aimed at serving the kingdom’s development march. She stressed that cooperation between the two branches always aims to serve the interests of the nation and the citizens, in line with the vision and democratic approach stipulated in the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
