Shura delegation meets Morocco’s House of Councillors’ president

Rabat, Jan. 18 (BNA): The Shura Council’s delegation, led by the Second Deputy Chairperson, Hala Ramzi Fayez, met here today the President of Morocco’s House of Councillors and Chairman of the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA), Abdelhakim Benchamach.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the International Seminar on the Experiences of National Reconciliation, organised here by ASSECAA.
Morocco’s House of Councillors’ president expressed deep pride in the steady progress of the brotherly Bahraini-Moroccan relations of cooperation and coordination in various fields, especially the legislative one.
He stressed the role of the Shura Council in Bahrain and the House of Councillors in Morocco in unifying efforts and stances towards various issues of common interest at international parliamentary gatherings.
He lauded the effective role played by the Shura Council and its delegations to ASSECAA meetings, praising their keenness to participate effectively in such gatherings and support efforts to enhance sustainable development aross Africa and the Arab world.
Hala Ramzi Fayez conveyed greetings from the Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, to the Moroccan House of Councillors’ president, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to Morocco, under its leadership.
She hailed the tremendous efforts exerted by Morocco’s House of Councillors to organise key international conferences annd seminars that tackle vital issues, expressing the Shura Council’s support for the resolutions and recommendations issued by ASSECAA and aimed at achieving the top interests of countries and peoples.
