Bahrain's Lawmakers support housing projects

Manama, Jan. 20 (BNA): Housing Minister Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer received Members of Parliament (MPs) Abdullah Al Thawadi, Bassem Al Maliki, Jassim Bu Hamoud and Yousef Zainal. They discussed various topics including latest progress in the housing plan and means of boosting the bilateral cooperation between the ministry and the Council of Representatives. The lawmakers affirmed supporting the ministry’s plans to meet the applications on the waiting lists, accelerating the momentum of the residential projects within the ministry’s plans. They also reviewed the progress in housing projects being implemented in the Kingdom's new towns, as part of the ministry’s plans to meet the housing demand in the various governorates, particularly the Northern governorate. The lawmakers expressed their appreciation of the ministry’s efforts to resolve the housing dossier and the steps taken by the ministry in this respect. They reiterated their support to the housing development dossier in harmony with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, within the Government Action Plan led by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, in the interest of the citizens and a key factor of Bahraini families stability.
