ICC Qatar to Take Part in World Economic Forum in Davos

Doha, January 21 (QNA) - The International Chamber of Commerce Qatar (ICC Qatar) is taking part in an annual meeting that takes place within the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, from 22-25 January 2019. The ICC Qatar will participate in the closed round table discussion concerning international trade on Wednesday.. The discussion, which is titled "Global Dialogue on Trade", will be attended by officials from the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Chamber of Commerce and the G20, in addition to a number of high level business representatives. Discussions at the round table will shed light on the importance of strengthening a rules-based multilateral trading system under the WTO. ICC works to champion evidence-based policies to shape the multilateral trade and investment agenda as a driver of growth, jobs and development. The ICC is a leading business voice in the World Trade Organization and other international forums including the G20. The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. It is an annual event that is attended by politicians, businessmen and other high level leaders of society. The forum will discuss several challenges, most notably climate change, the global economic slowdown and central banks' situation in the face of recession. (QNA)
