Minister D.Sumiyabazar receives Ambassador of China Xing Haiming

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry D.Sumiyabazar received Ambassador of China to Mongolia Xing Haiming on January 18. During the meeting, Minister D.Sumiyabazar emphasized that the year 2018 brought more achievement and development in Mongolia-China relations and cooperation. Citing that this year marks the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and China, the Minister expressed his believe that this year would be a year with largest constructions for both countries. Ambassador Xing Haiming said high-level reciprocal visits and meetings held last year between the two countries show expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation. In particular, he mentioned President Kh.Battulga’s meeting with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh’s visit to the country and visit of China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Mongolia. The Ambassador also expressed willingness to realize construction works of Mongolia’s Tavan Tolgoi project and Mongolia-China-Russia Economic Corridor effectively in 2019. The sides also exchanged views on mutually beneficial cooperation possibilities in mining sector, especially, in coal export, border checkpoints, infrastructure construction of Tavan Tolgoi project and projects on processing plants.
