HM the King Issues Royal Decree for Election

BANGKOK, Jan 23 (TNA) – His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn issued a royal decree for a general election. After the decree was published in the royal gazette on Wednesday, the Election Commission (EC) will meet this afternoon to set the election date. EC Secretary-General Pol Col Jarungwit Phumma said the EC will raise this issue during its meeting at 1 am. The election date is expected to be finalized and EC president Ittiporn Boonpracong will announce the processes in preparation for organizing the election after the meeting. (TNA)
