Official report expects reduction of poverty rate to 32.8% by 2010

SANA'A, March 24 (Saba)- An official report has expected a decrease
in the rate of poverty by the coming year to 32.8 percent.

The report- Saba has a copy of it, showed that the raise in price
during the two years made it difficult to reduce the rate to 19.8
percent.

The report also expected reduction of unemployment 15.2 percent in
2010, highlighting efforts of the government in field of attracting
further investments to create jobs and encouragement for the
technical education and vocational training sector.

It also pointed out to the document has been signed between the
government and the donors to help in tackling issues of food
security in the country by increase of the food supplying and extend
network of the social charity.


According to the report, the rate of unemployment was reduced during
the period from 2009-2007 to 16.1 percent and 15.9 percent
respectively.

The report also pointed out to the challenges facing policies of the
government to reduce unemployment in the country such as low level
of education and decrease of expected investments.
