Shura-BCCI cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 4 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh stressed the council's keenness to boost cooperation with Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to upgrade financial and economic legislation in consistency with plans to support Bahraini traders to help them contribute to the national economy and enhance Bahrain's investment attractiveness. Al Saleh was speaking as he received today BCCI Board Chairman Sameer Abdullah Nass and members, in the presence of Shura Council Second Deputy Chairman Hala Ramzi Fayez and members of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee. He underlined the council's keenness to develop the economic and commercial legislation system in Bahrain in tune with the kingdom's trade and investment momentum. He lauded the efforts made by BCCI Board Chairman and members to develop the commercial sector. The BCCI Board Chairman praised the dedicated efforts of the Shura Council in exercising its legislative role and supporting political reforms and the ongoing development achievements in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He stressed keenness of BCCI and the private sector on boosting partnership with the Shura Council to fas-track the kingdom's democratic and economic march.
