Southern Governor opens anti-smoking exhibition

Manama, Feb. 4 (BNA): Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated at Riffa Club today an anti-smoking exhibition held under the theme "Stop for Your Health". The event is held in conjunction with the World Cancer Day which is observed on February 4. The Southern Governor underlined the importance of holding purposeful exhibitions in conjunction with international occasions and valuable initiatives that are of great benefit to the community. He hailed the role of such exhibitions in raising awareness of the dangers of smoking on people's health. The exhibition features various pavilions with the participation of the Interior Ministry's Health and Social Affairs Directorate, the Health Ministry's Health Promotion Directorate and Bahrain Cancer Society.
