Saleh, al-Nahyan hold talks in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, March 24 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh and
President of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan
held talks on Tuesday in UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

During the talks, Saleh and al-Nahyan dealt with the Arab,
territorial and international developments, topped by the efforts to
achieve Arab reconciliation within preparations for the Arab summit
scheduled to be held late this month in Doha.

They also emphasized the significance of coming out the summit with
the desired results to meet the aspirations of Arab people and
encounter the current challenges facing Arab nation.

Furthermore, the meeting dealt with the developments of Palestinian
and Somali and the efforts of combating terrorism and piracy in Aden
Gulf and off Somali coasts and its hazards for the security and
safety of international navigation routes.

The two leaders discussed means of strengthening the distinguished
brotherly ties and the joint cooperation between the two countries
at different political, economic, cultural, and investment levels.

President Saleh expressed his satisfaction for the growing
development level of the brotherly ties between Yemen and UAE,
saying "We will always work on pushing them forwards".

President Saleh praised the UAE positions to support Yemen and
development process, welcoming the UAE investments in Yemen, which
will give all support and facilities.

He expressed his thanks and appreciation for UAE generous support
whether during the London Donor Conference, or during flood disaster
in the eastern Yemeni governorates of Hadramout and Mahrah,
including building one thousand housing units for the
disaster-effected people.
