Government approves future plans

SANA'A, March, 24 (Saba)- The government approved in its Tuesday
meeting the executive document of its future plans for implementing
the president's electoral program for the period 2009-2010.

The document included package of executive measures on ministries
level. They aim at enhancing government's measures and investment
policies such as promoting environment attracting investment,
continuous revision of legislations encouraging this process and
focusing on developing promising economic sectors.

All these measures serve the government's plans for reducing numbers
of unemployment and alleviating poverty.

The cabinet also agreed on the report of minister of planning over
results of Lebanese Prime Minister's visit to Yemen on this March 8
and 7.

The report included cooperation document signed between Yemen and
Lebanon during the visit. Among of these documents the treaty for
establishing the supreme joint committee for economic, scientific
and technical cooperation, the treaty for judicial cooperation and a
treaty in documentation field between the two countries.

The documents also include memo of understanding in field of fishery
wealth and cooperation executive programs in fields of technical
education and vocational training, social affairs, culture, tourism,
education and youth and sport.

Furthermore, a protocol for economic cooperation between the Yemeni
General Union for Trade and Industrial Chambers and Lebanese Union
for Trade, Industrial and Agricultural Chambers was also signed.
