Electricity Minister receives top training official

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Chairman of the International Federation of Training and Human Development Organisations Dr. Ibrahim bin Khalifa Al-Dosari. The visitor briefed him on the objectives of the federation and its future plans. He applauded the minister for his outstanding and continuous support in Bahrain’s human development and his contributions in taking part in lectures and seminars. Dr. Mirza praised the role of the federation and its interest in training and development programmes and looked forward to activate further cooperation and to benefit from international capabilities and expertise. The Minister also praised in particular the efforts of Dr. Al Dosari in the comprehensive development process in human resources and training to serve Bahrain and develop its national capacities. The federation was established in Switzerland in 1972 and is registered under the umbrella of the United Nations. It has more than 500,000 professionals from more than 30 countries in all disciplines as its members. Its main mission is to develop the concept of human resources through international conferences held annually around the world. Dr. Al Dossari has chaired its Board of Directors as the first Arab and has worked towards the goals of sustainable development established by Bahrain’s wise leadership to become a center of excellence.
