Bahrain participates in high-level Arab leaders’ conference

Cairo, Feb. 8 (BNA): Member of the Council of Representatives and Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament (AP), Adel Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi, participated in the AP’s conference for high-level Arab leaders, held today at the Arab League’s headquarters here. MP Al-Asoomi took part in the opening session as well as in a closed session devoted to discussing and approving an Arab document for consolidating solidarity and facing challenges. The AP’s conference attracted former presidents, prime ministers and ministers in some Arab countries, in addition to the former Secretary-General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa. MP Al-Asoomi highlighted the AP’s keenness to enhance joint Arab action through launching initiatives aimed at reconciling Arab stances and facing challenges collectively, in accordance with the principle of common destiny of the Arab Nation. The high-level Arab leaders’ conference is held on the sidelines of AP’s third meeting of the third session of the second legislative term, hosted by Cairo on February 7-13.
