HRH Premier patronises MEOS 2019

Manama, Feb. 10 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, Bahrain will host the 21st Middle East Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition (MEOS 2019) on March 18-21 March at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. MEOS is one of the most important events on the agenda of international oil conferences and exhibitions with the aim of exchanging information, experiences and modern technologies in this vital field. This event is organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Arab Exhibitions Management company, with cooperation with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and with the support from a number of regional and international oil companies. With a participation of VIPs from corporate executives specializing in the petroleum sector, interested and technicians, training institutes and related universities as well as engineers and specialists in the field of oil and gas to discuss the future of the oil and gas industry in the region. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Premier for briefing this important event under his patronage since its inception in 1979. That reflects the keenness of the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to provide the utmost to support and assist in this kind of specialized activities that benefit the economic, cognitive and development system and the principle of exchanging information, experience and expertise and participate in the building of capacity and skills, as well as the skills and expertise of the human element which is an essential to the sustainable development process. The minister stressed that MEOS is one of the most prominent activities in the field of oil and exploration in the Middle East region. Where most of the international and regional oil companies are keen to participate in this important event to take advantage of the papers presented and discussed during the sessions of the conference by experts, global speakers and executives in the oil and gas sector from various countries around the world. As there is an opportunity provided by the accompanying exhibition to look closely at the latest advanced technologies in the field of oil and gas and exploration technology and production. The event is anticipated to attract a large number of experts, researchers, officials, executives and specialists in the field of oil and gas, fromBahrain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman as well as some countries from the Middle East, European Union, Asia and other regions. A number of major international oil companies in the Middle East and various countries of the world are expected to participate in the accompanying exhibition. MEOS will include special programs and various events from specialized workshops in the oil sector and the educational day in which more than 100 students from public and private schools will participate. As well as the training workshops for teachers from the science department, which will be attended by 50 teachers. In addition to the Summit of the Energy Conference held for the first time in the Kingdom and with the participation of many decision makers and executives of the oil companies and interested and specialists in this vital field. The conference will also include a number of discussion and dialogue sessions with the participation of a distinguished group of international speakers from international oil and industrial companies to discuss the most important issues and the most important of these topics: Resilience of the Future How Can We Achieve Resilience in the Coming Years?, oil prices and future outlook, what have we learned?, the value of technology and business impact, the fourth industrial revolution, the growth of the next generation of industry leaders, unconventional resources beyond innovation and technology: partnerships towards success and other important related subjects.
