Electricity MInister meets MP, Buri officials

Manama, Feb. 10 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Dr. Abddulhussain Mirza received MP Ahmed al-Dimistani, who was accompanied by Zina Jassem, a member of the municipality and a group of heads of civil and charitable associations in Buri. The minister welcomed the visitors who thanked the him and the officials of the Electricity and Water Authority for their continuous efforts to improve the quality of services in all areas. The minister said they always strive for excellence in the quality of services they offer to citizens and residents. He said government, is keen on direct communication with the members of the legislative authority, which is a key indicator to measure the quality of services and work to find opportunities for improvement. The minister thanked and appreciated the MO and the others and also reviewed plans and projects implemented by the Electricity and Water Authority for the people of the areas to strengthen the electricity networks and improve the lighting and provide easy payment terms for the disabled and low income people who have arrears of bills. The visitors presented some requests and needs of services that would benefit the people of the region and the residents. They also submitted proposals that would improve the quality of these services and strive to achieve the goal of energy efficiency and rationalization of consumption. They thanked the minister and officials of the Electricity and Water Authority for the reception and applauded efforts to follow-up on the requirements of citizens. They said such meetings are fruitful and have a good effect on the people. The meeting was attended by Adel Al-Taho, Advisor to the Minister and a number of officials.
