HM King invited to attend 1st Arab-European Summit

Manama, Feb. 11(BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today received an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to attend the first Arab-European Summit, scheduled to be held this month in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. HM the King received, at Safriya Palace, Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Suha Ibrahim Mohammed who delivered a letter from President El-Sisi enclosing the invitation. HM the King thanked President El-Sisi for the kind invitation, hailing strong fraternal relations binding the two brotherly countries and peoples, as well as steadily-growing cooperation and coordination on all levels. He congratulated the Egyptian leader on his election as new chairman of the African Union, wishing every success. He lauded the Egypt’s pivotal role on the regional and international arenas, hailing its efforts to defend the interests of the Arab nation and advocate Arab peoples’ causes. HM the King wished the success of the 1st summit to achieve its goals towards enhancing cooperation, developing strategic coordination and consolidating Arab-European Partnership, which would contribute to confronting challenging and attaining share aspirations.
