SCW-Bahrain Polytechnic cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Hala Al-Ansari held at SCW headquarters, in Riffa, a work meeting with Board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Polytechnic Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa. They discussed the next action plan to activate Bahrain Women's Day which will be celebrated this year under the theme "Higher Education and Future Sciences". Al-Ansari welcomed Shaikh Hesham, lauding keenness of Bahrain Polytechnic, since its establishment, on adopting the principle of gender equal opportunities and setting up the Equal Opportunities Committee, so as to pave the way for Bahraini women to take up leadership and guidance posts at the institute. She voiced keenness of SCW on boosting cooperation with Bahrain Polytechnic to carry out functions marking Bahrain Women's Day this year. She also underlined the council's keenness to cooperate with Bahrain Polytechnic in the scientific research field. The Bahrain Polytechnic Board of Trustees Chairman lauded the initiative of SCW, under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and SCW President, to devote Bahrain Women's Day this year to celebrating women in "Higher Education and Future Sciences" field. He stressed the need to boost women's role inside and outside Bahrain Polytechnic and turn them into a pioneering model in the women work fields.
