HM King hails Bahraini judiciary

Manama, Feb. 17(BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa reiterated keenness on bolstering the independence of the judiciary and providing the judicial branch with competencies. He took pride in the long history of the judiciary which, he said, plays a crucial role in strengthening the principles of justice and equality, protecting rights and liberties and maintaining social security and stability. Receiving Sharia Courts judges at Al-Safriya Palace, HM the King reiterated firm keenness on serving Islamic teachings, promoting respect of all religions, building interfaith rapprochement and renouncing division and extremism. He welcomed the judges, wishing them success in performing the national responsibilities, to further consolidate the principles of right, justice and rule of the law. He commended judges, who constitute the loyal elite in Bahrain, hailing their role in preserving citizens and residents’ rights, ensuring justice and rule of the law, praying to Allah the Almighty to guide them on the path of success to serve the nation. The judges paid tribute to HM the King, conveying greetings from Sharia judicial affiliates. They pledged to spare no effort to contribute to bolstering the pillars of justice, in compliance with Islamic teachings and national laws, wishing HM the King abundant health and happiness.
