Bahrain to attend Arab parliamentary conference

Manama, Feb. 18(BNA): The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union will hold its 29th conference in Amman, the Kingdom of Jordan. The three-day pan-Arab conference will open on the 2nd of March, under the theme "Al-Quds, Permanent Capital of the State of Palestine".
A delegation representing the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council will take part in the conference. The joint delegation includes Second Deputy Speaker Ali bin Ahmed Al-Zayed, Mps Youssef Zinelabdine and Fatma Abbas, Shura Council members Dr. Mansour Mohammed Sarhan, Dr. Fatima Abduljabbar Kooheji, Abdulla Khalaf Al-Dosari.
The delegation will also include Shura Council Secretary-General Osama Ahmed Al-Asfoor and Council of Representatives Secretary-General Rashid Mohammed Bounejma. Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal chaired the joint coordination meeting and discussed preparations to take part in the upcoming pan-Arab parliamentary conference.
She stressed the importance in the conference which represents a key platform to strengthen pan-Arab cooperation in all fields, stressing Bahrain’s keenness on promoting parliamentary diplomacy to build bridges of friendship and cooperation and contribute to global security and peace.
