Shopee, FPX Collaborate To Upskill Online Business Owners

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Shopee Malaysia, via Shopee University, is partnering with online payment solution FPX to upskill online business owners to enable them to sell effectively on the Shopee platform. Shopee head of operations Esten Mok said the collaboration would offer up to 10 online video tutorials to help business owners optimise and grow their business on Shopee. “Initiatives like these are in line with our brand’s long-term strategy to empower more Malaysians to capitalise on the booming e-commerce trend. “This includes improving the lives of those in the B40 (low-income) group by encouraging them to have multiple sources of income,” he told reporters after the signing ceremony of the collaboration here Wednesday. Launched in 2016, Shopee University is a dedicated workshop for those who are keen to learn more about how to start selling on a mobile commerce platform and master the art of selling on Shopee. Mok said the online tutorials would feature various topics, including how to get started on Shopee, a FPX step-by-step guide on making payments simple and effortless for online transactions, ways to optimise the functions in Shopee and maximise online marketing. “Through Shopee University, we guide sellers, provide insight on latest industry trends and give exclusive access to our latest features, product updates and promotions as we aim to create a safe community for both shoppers and sellers. “The tutorials will be conducted by industry experts armed with skills and insights relevant to both beginners and experienced online sellers,” he added. -- BERNAMA
