US, Italy, Switzerland, Germany Confirm Participation In DSA 2020

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 (Bernama) -- Asia’s largest and leading defence and security exhibition, Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2020, is on track for another stellar showing with a high profile showcase of cutting edge defence and security technology and services from around the world. Scheduled for April 20-23, 2020 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, DSA 2020 and the National Security Asia (NATSEC Asia) 2020 has already received an overwhelming response from the United States, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. During the recent International Defence Exhibition and Conference 2019 (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi, Chief of Army General Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi witnessed the signing of participation contracts from the four countries, as well as four independent participants at the DSA 2020 booth. The independent participants were FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.S. from Turkey, Jadara Equipment and Defence System Co from Jordan, Milkor (Pty) Ltd from South Africa and Yugoimport-SDPR from Serbia. In a statement Wednesday, event organiser DSA Exhibition and Conference Sdn Bhd said following the signings, 40 per cent of the space bookings have been confirmed while another 50 per cent have been reserved. Ahmad Hasbullah also witnessed the signing of a sponsorship agreement between MBDA, a European developer and manufacturer of missiles, and DSA Exhibition and Conference Sdn Bhd for the VIP Recreational and Networking Programme during DSA 2020. DSA 2020 is fully supported by the Ministry of Defence, and some 1,500 companies from the global defence and security sector hailing from more than 60 countries and regions are expected to participate. -- BERNAMA
