Polytechnic wins CFA Institute Research Challenge

Manama, Feb. 24 (BNA): Bahrain Polytechnic has won the 2018-19 CFA Institute Research Challenge in Bahrain, it was announced in a close competition hosted by CFA Society Bahrain, the Kingdom’s association for local investment professionals. The competing teams produced an equity research report on the financial performance of Bahrain Telecommunication Company (Batelco), which was then judged by CFA Society Bahrain and representatives from SICO and Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait (BBK) based on accuracy, insight and analysis. Bahrain Polytechnic will compete in the EMEA Regional Final in Zurich, Switzerland between 10-11 April 2019, against other teams from universities around the world. The winning team will then compete in the Global Final on 25 April in New York, USA. This year’s competition featured four universities including: University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and Strathclyde Business School.
