Speaker receives Syrian Charge d'Affairs

Manama, Feb. 24 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal today received Syrian Charge d'Affaires to Bahrain, Mohammed Ali Ibrahim. The Speaker stressed Bahrain’s efforts to reinforce Arab role to maintain Syria’s independence and sovereignty and preventing interfering in its internal affairs. She pointed out the royal directives to the Royal Charity Organization to launch humanitarian and charitable projects to support Syrian refugees in the Kingdom of Jordan. The Speaker highlighted Bahrain’s keenness to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis by activating Arab role and supporting the efforts of the UN special envoy to Syria.
