Bahrain investment-friendly policies hailed

Manama, Feb. 26 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)’s Treasury Secretary Arif Hejris has received officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by the Chief of Mission to Bahrain Bikas Joshi. During the meeting the IMF mission chief hailed the liberal foreign investment policies and the recent fiscal reforms of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also commended the measures taken by the government to rationalise expenditures and curb the budget deficit. Speaking about the prospect of the national economy, the BCCI official highlighted the growth potentials of non-oil sectors and promising sectors including real estate, informatics and telecommunication technology (ICT), educational and health tourism sectors. He also stressed on the potentials of local entrepreneurs and the vital role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in spurring the national economy.
