HM King patronises endurance ceremony

Manama, Mar.2 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa patronized a ceremony in honour of the winners 17th edition of the international endurance race on HM the King’s Cup. HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Council (SCYS) Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa crowned Royal Team’s Victorious rider Uruguayan Celestia Garcia with HM the King’s Cup. A number of riders from the Royal team and the United Arab Emirates took part in the 160-kilometre-long endurance race, which was sponsored by the Gulf Finance House (GFH). . HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa dedicated Royal Team’s Victorious win to HM the King, hailing landmark sports strides and achievements in the prosperous era, particularly endurance races. He thanked HM the King for the royal patronage which boosted rider to perform honourably in the strongest race of the endurance season, hailing the landmark achievements of Bahraini champions in all fields. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa welcomed HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum on his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend 17th edition of the international endurance race on HM the King’s Cup. He congratulated the top three winners and hailed the riders’ competitiveness and honourable performance during the five-stage race despite unstable weather and strong winds. He commended the technical performance which marked the 160-kilometre-long endurance race on HM the King’s Cup, crediting the all riders’ competitiveness for the success of the sporting event. He commended the outstanding performance of the UAE riders which contribute enhancing the technical level, hailing the wide participation of the stables and keenness on winning the coveted and prestigious cup. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa praised the Gulf Finance House (GFH) for sponsoring the race, hailing the group’s unwavering support to develop the sport in Bahrain. He commened the the sponsoring company which contribute to the success of the race.
