Southern Governor honours servicemen

Manama, Mar. 3(BNA): Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa honored a number of Civil Defence servicemen, marking the World Civil Defence Day which falls on March 1. Civil Defence Deputy Director-General Colonel Ali Mohammed Al-Houti attended the ceremony. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa commended the role of the civil defence servicemen in protecting lives and properties and enhancing community security and safety, hailing their rescue efforts in the Southern Governorate last year. Addressing the ceremony, he commended the servicemen’s spirit of security responsibility in dealing with accidents that require sacrifice and dedicated efforts to protect human lives, public and private properties. Colonel Al-Houti expressed thanks to the governor for supporting servicemen and commending their role and sacrifices marking the World Civil Defence Day.
