Qatar Petroleum Launches New Code of Conduct

Doha, March 06 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Petroleum, Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi launched today a new code of conduct for the company during the conference "Shaping Who We Are", which took place at Qatar National Convention Center. The Code of Conduct is a comprehensive document that defines Qatar Petroleum's commitment to ethical conduct, the way it conducts its business. The document, “Shaping Who We Are", will be a new supporting element to Qatar Petroleum's vision of becoming one of the world's best oil and gas companies. In his speech during the conference, Al Kaabi reviewed the company's achievements since the completion of the restructuring program in 2014 and provided an overview of Qatar Petroleum's ambitious strategy that has led its international expansion around the world. He added that the new code of conduct will help set a system of moral practices that guarantees Qatar Petroleum becoming one of the best companies in the world. He described the move as an important step that will decide the company's behavior and its practices with its partners across the world. Al Kaabi concluded his speech by saying that ethical behavior is critical to the company's success. He noted that, by adopting and launching this code, Qatar Petroleum has laid the foundations of an institutional culture of ethical behavior that will determine who we are as an institution and define its business principles. He also expressed his confidence that this will also reinvent the identity of the company of Qatar Petroleum, by adhering to best practices in everything it does and wherever it is located. (QNA)
