Parliamentary delegation, OHCHR official discuss cooperation

Geneva, Mar. 7 (BNA): On the sidelines of Bahrain’s participation in the 40th session of the Human Rights Council being held in Geneva, a Bahraini parliamentary delegation held a meeting with Chief of OHCHR’s Chief of Middle East and North Africa Section, Mohammad Ali, to discuss cooperation in the field of human rights. The delegation highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two sides to harmonize the national legislation with international human rights agreements. The delegation pointed out Bahrain's keenness to benefit from the UNHCR's expertise to accumulate the Bahraini parliamentarians’ experience in following up the implementation of human rights recommendations.
