Electricity Minister receives Tunisian ambassador

Manama, Mar. 9 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received Tunisian Ambassador to Bahrain Salim Gheryani. He lauded strong ties binding the two brotherly countries and growing cooperation mainly in the electricity, water and renewable energy field. He also reviewed the main projects being implemented in these areas and the investment opportunities for Tunisian companies in this sector. He gave a visual presentation on future plans of the Electricity and Water Authority, the latest achievements in renewable energy and the steps taken by the government to encourage investment in solar energy. The Tunisian ambassador expressed utmost happiness at being informed about the tremendous progress made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the electricity, water and renewable energy field, pointing out keenness of the Tunisian companies to participate in those projects according to available opportunities. He thanked Dr. Mirza for the good welcome and hospitality, reiterating keenness to boost bilateral cooperation to serve common interests and aspirations.
