Oil Minister to patronise GPCA Plasticon and R&I Conference

Manama, Mar. 9 (BNA): Under the patronage of Oil Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Bahrain will host the GPCA Plasticon and R&I Conference, due to be held here on March 11-14. A great number of senior personalities, specialists, technicians and academics from all over the world will take part in the week-long mega event, which is organised by Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), in cooperation with the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and support of local, regional and international companies. Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa welcomed the kingdom’s hosting of mega events specialised in petrochemical and chemical industries, lauding the efforts of the high organising committee to prepare well for the conference, and wishing success to the participants. More than 300 persons from 81 specialised companies will participate in the conference to be informed about the latest technologies in this vital field. The GPCA R&I Conference will see the launch of the “Innovation Competition”, GPCA’s latest initiative, aimed at promoting innovation among university students in the Arabian Gulf region, and bridging the gap between industry and academia in the field of chemistry.
