Media role in development march highlighted

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, today received Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi. The Speaker said the media sector witnesses a quantum leap thanks to the support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to media figures, as they are essential partners in the national reform and development march. She pointed out the media role in highlighting the royal reforms, national achievements and Bahrain’s regional and international standing. The Information Minister stressed the ministry’s determination to keep pace with the ongoing developments to provide the citizens with the latest information, underlying keenness to continue cooperation and building on consensus reached with the legislative branch in the interest of the media sector and homeland.
