Laos, Vietnam further co-operation on labour and social-welfare
(KPL) A bilateral meeting to further the co-operation on labour and social-welfare between Laos and Vietnam was held in Luang Prabang province on 25 March.
The Lao delegation was led by Ms. Onchanh Thammavong, Minister of Labour and Social-Welfare and Vietnamese side was led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
During the meeting, the sides has reviewed and discussed a number of issues related to their co-operation in the past and future. They also stressed on two key issues on agreement to receive and dispatch Vietnamese experts to work in Laos and the exchange visit of high ranking delegation from the two ministries.
The Vietnamese delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Bounheaug Douangprachanh, governor of Luang Prabang province where he also briefed his guest about the social-economic development in his province.
