Assistant Foreign Minister meets German officials

Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): The Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al Doseri, met the Director General for Africa, Latin America, Near and Middle East, Ambassador Dr. Philipp Ackermann, and Ambassador Regional Director for the Near and Middle East and North Africa, Dr. Christian Buck, at Foreign Office of Germany. Al Doseri praised the strong ties between Bahrain and Germany, noting the active German participation in the Manama Dialogue. He stressed the keenness of the Kingdom to continue its coordination with Germany for the benefit of both countries and their peoples. The assistant minister highlighted the progress of Bahrain in the human rights field as a result of the reform approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, adding that the Kingdom has become a model of religious freedom and peaceful coexistence. He noted the "Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain," which is a universal document to promote religious freedom, and the launching of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence. He cited as examples Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Women's Empowerment in addition to Bahrain’s reaching Tier 1 in the US Department of State Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report. He also noted the progress made by the Kingdom in developing health services, education and various housing programmes.
