Education Minister meets prize director

Paris, Mar. 17(BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi with UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa ICT in Education Prize director. The meeting was attended by award assistant director as well as Cultural Advisor and Deputy Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Shaikha Wafa Al-Khalifa. The meeting stressed the importance of the award in promoting the UNESCO objectives which aim at spread education through information technology and telecommunications, encouraging international initiatives and exchanging expertise. The prize director paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for launching the award, deemed among the best in the world in the field of ICT in Education. He pointed out the UNESCO decision to renew the prize in its second edition, which serves the goals of the organisation’s 2030 vision, which acknowledges the crucial role of modern technology in promoting the goals of education for all.
