“Fortress of the Nation” drill kicks off

Manama, Mar. 18 (BNA): The joint commands’ drill, the “Fortress of the Nation”, carried out by the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), in cooperation with the National Guard and the Interior Ministry, kicked off today across the kingdom’s governorates. The drill is part of the BDF’s training programme to enhance servicemen’s combat and administrative readiness, develop operational plans with the joint forces and build a strong foundation for coordination and cooperation with the National Guard and the Ministry of Interior. The “Fortress of the Nation” exercise, including multiple operational stages, aims to assess and develop training standards in order to achieve high levels of command competence and advanced combat capability to reach the highest levels of professionalism in various military operations and enhance the participating forces’ ability to deal with various crises and emergency events of all kinds.
