Hawar Islands development discussed

Manama, Mar. 24(BNA): His Majesty’s Personal Representative His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) President and Chairman of the High Committee for the Development of Hawar Islands, received, at Al Wasmiya , Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa and Economic Development Board (EDB) Chief Executive Officer Khalid Amro Al-Romaihi, chairman of Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah), and discussed means of consolidating the implementation of development and investment projects in Bahrain. HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of carrying out investment and tourism projects in Hawar Islands, which would bolster Bahrain’s tourism standing and create a pioneering model of sustainable tourism. He said that the meetings of High Committee for the Development of Hawar Islands discuss plans aimed to achieve visions and strategies to develop the islands and exploit their full potential as part of the Kingdom’s general policy, which would create opportunities for citizens and support the national economy.
