Bahraini-Saudi relations hailed

Jeddah, Mar. 27 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, here today, met Saudi Shura Council Chairman Shaikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Shaikh, on the sidelines of her participation in the 12th GCC Presidents of Legislative Councils held in Jeddah. The Speaker highlighted the solid strategic and historical Bahraini-Saudi relations in various fields under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Speaker praised the development witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thanks to the Saudi leader. She also commended the Saudi role in maintaining the security and stability in the region and defending Arab and Islamic causes. Broadening economic, investment and parliamentary cooperation was discussed, in addition to activating the role of the parliamentary diplomacy and coordinating stances in regional and international forums. The Saudi Shura Chairman underlined keenness of both kingdoms’ leaders to upgrade the bilateral relations at all levels, thanks to the Bahraini and Saudi leaderships. He welcomed the efforts of the two countries’ legislative councils to accentuate the GCC progress and achievements in global forums, which reflect the unity of Gulf stances and visions.
