Primax 95 With Pro-Drive Is World's First Dual-Friction Modifier

KOTA KINABALU (Sabah, Malaysia) April 4 (Bernama) -- The Petronas Primax 95 with Pro-Drive launched this year is the world's first dual-friction modifier, and helps reduce friction by 20 per cent compared to the previous single-friction modifier. The new fuel formulation leveraged on Petronas's world-class research and development facilities in Europe and the USA, and promises a smoother drive, responsive engine performance, and enhanced fuel efficiency. Head of Petronas Fuel Technology, Mohamad Hafiz Abd Aziz, said the double detergent helps eliminate up to 99 per cent of the carbon deposits to ensure a clean engine and better fuel efficiency. Mohamad Hafiz said the engineers formulated a fuel that meets current road engine technology requirements, from indirect injection to direct injection and hybrid. “Additionally, the anti-corrosion chemistry gives the engine two times better protection for superior engine performance. We developed our new fuel with human needs and the most demanding engine requirements in mind," he told a media briefing on the new fuel here Thursday. He said results from a blind test with more than 200 consumers were very encouraging, with over 70 per cent of participants indicating the new fuel performed better than their current fuel in terms of smoothness, responsiveness and efficiency.
