Speaker receives BNA Director General

Manama, Apr. 4 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal lauded the key and outstanding role played by Bahrain News Agency (BNA) as a national media tributary. She stressed keenness of the Representatives Council on continuous cooperation with the executive branch to highlight the kingdom's pioneering reform achievements. She also lauded the national efforts of Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi and the ministry's personnel to project Bahrain's democratic accomplishments worldwide. The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking as she received today BNA Director General Abdullah Khalil Buhejji. She described BNA as the official discloser of the kingdom's news and functions, praising its high competence in performing its duties. She pointed out that BNA is a model of advanced news agencies in the world thanks to its comprehensive work mechanism, modern technologies, fast and accurate coverage of events and multi-language broadcasting of media reports The BNA Director General hailed the legislative and monitoring role of the legislative branch to serve the supreme national interest and citizens, stressing the need for complementarity between media work and the legislative movement to serve the goals of the kingdom's development march.
