5.4 STRONG QUAKE STRIKES MALUKU
Jakarta,Mar 29(ANTARA) - The Meteorology and Geophysics Agency disclosed that an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale had struck Maluku at about 3 a.m on Sunday.
The agency said the epicenter of the tremor was located in a depth of 25 kilometers 170 kilometers from Ambon, Maluku, and 298 kilometers from Sorong, West Papua.
The agency said further the quake did not have any potential to trigger a tsunami.
Earlier another quake measured 6.2 on the Richter scale struck Papua.
