Speaker hails role of Gulf Centre for Strategic Studies

Manama, Apr. 7 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has stressed the importance of research studies and scientific political analyses in mapping out strategies, formulating future visions, deepening understanding of various issues, enhancing the ability to overcome challenges and supporting decisions aimed at achieving the stability of peoples and societies. In this regard, the speaker lauded the role and contributions of the Gulf Centre for Strategic Studies, citing its research and studies on various political, security, economic and social issues, and its keenness on raising awareness on GCC issues and highlighting Bahrain’s achievements at the international level. This came as the speaker received here today the Chairman of the Gulf Centre for Strategic Studies, Dr. Omar Al-Hassan. She commended the key role and fruitful efforts exerted by Dr. Omar Al-Hassan in the research field, lauding the competence of the Gulf Centre for Strategic Studies’ specialists, experts and academicians. Dr. Al-Hassan highlighted the kingdom’s democratic progress and comprehensive reforms during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also lauded the role played by the Legislative Branch in supporting the reform march and pushing the national sustainable development forward.
