Minister of Finance Inaugurates Conrad Washington DC, a Qatari Diar Project

Washington, April 10 (QNA) - HE Minister of Finance Ali Shareef Al Emadi inaugurated today The Conrad Washington, D.C., one of Qatari Diars projects in Washington.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chairman of Qatari Diar HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Thani, CEO of Qatari Diar Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, HE the State of Qatar’s Ambassador to the U.S. HE Sheikh Meshaal bin Hamad Al-Thani, Mayor of Washington Muriel Bowser, as well several prominent figures in the U.S.
The project is part of the Qatari company’s global expansion that reached more than 24 countries. It was carried out in partnership with Hines Interests Limited Partnership. Together they built the370-room luxury hotel which also has 62,000 square feet of large-format retail space, at CityCenterDC, the 10-acre, landmark, mixed-use development located in the heart of the nation’s capital. It was further announced that the hotel will be the Conrad Washington, D.C., the newest property in the Conrad Hotels & Resorts luxury brand portfolio operated by Hilton Worldwide
Chairman of Qatari Diar praised the completion of the project and thanked the company’s strategic partner and all the workers on the project for their efforts.
For his part, CEO of Qatari Diar said that the company’s new strategy is focused on speeding up the construction phase in all its projects under development. He added that the company’s achievements were all a result of continues work to implement the strategy in order to get the best real estate investment returns in the world.
Bowser for her part said that the U.S. capital attracts 20 million visitors every year and is one of the most prominent political and business destinations in the world. She added that the inauguration of Conrad Hotel is another remarkable addition to the city’s facilities and services. She thanked Qatari Diar and Hines for their terrific work and big investment in the city’s newest landmark.
The project is strategically located as it is a 14minute drive from Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport, about 40 minutes from Dulles International Airport, 47 minutes from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, and 9 minutes from Union Station. (QNA)
