NATIONAL TABLE TENNIS TEAM TRAIN IN CHINA

KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 (Bernama) --- Six Malaysian table-tennis players are
now in Beijing, China to undergo a month-long training programme in preparation
for the World Individual Table-Tennis Championship in Yokohama, Japan from April
28 until May 5.

Table-Tennis Association of Malaysia (TTAM) executive director Soong Poh Wah
said the national squad were training at the Zheng Ding International Training
Centre in Beijing since last Saturday and they would be leaving for Japan on
April 26.

"The national squad will compete in all the five categories offered for
contest at the championship in Japan," he said when contacted by Bernama, here
Monday.

The six players undergoing the training are Ng Sock Kim, Beh Lee Wei, Muhd
Shakirin Ibrahim, Chai Kian Beng, Kho Mao Sheng and Chui Soo Jiin.
