Speaker hails BDF patriotic role

Manama, Apr. 14 (BNA): A tribute was paid today to the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) and loyal and dedicated servicemen. Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal hailed the BDF-role in defending the nation and citizens, lauding the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander. She commended the BDF, led by Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, for playing a patriotic role in protecting national achievements and participating in defending the nation. She lauded all military and security agencies for assuming their patriotic duties in the prosperous era of HM the King, adding that the BDF will always remain the shield that protects the nation. The Speaker affirmed unflinching parliamentary support to the BDF and servicemen, hailing their achievement as part of the Saudi-led Arab Alliance and their participation in the Operation Restore Hope.
